Westward Ho! is
a fabulous little seaside resort situated in England’s South
West Peninsular Atlantic coast. |
 |
 |
The village
sits on the edge of the Atlantic and is fronted by two miles
of golden sands, to the east is Northam Burrows Country Park,
to the west, the cliffs and Southwest way long distance
coastal footpath. |
|
To the
south are Kipling Tors which are managed by
the National Trust and form a beautiful backdrop to our
holiday village by the sea. |
 |
 |
Westward Ho!
makes an ideal center for your holiday, not only
because it is located on one of the finest bass beaches (and
an excellent safe bathing beach) it lies set in the
geographical heart of North Devon. |
|
Within
an hours drive to
the east is the splendour of Exmoor an hour to the south and
you can be among the grandeur of Dartmoor, an hour to the west
will find you approaching Europe's surfing center of Newquay
in Cornwell, |
 |
 |
Twenty
miles to the north set
in the Bristol Channel is the wonderful Puffin island of Lundy
(I have included a link button on this page to a superb web
site |
| Lundy lies off the coast of North Devon, where the
Atlantic ocean meets the Bristol Channel with nothing between
it and America, a granite outcrop, three and a half miles long
and half a mile wide. |
 |
 |
Westward Ho! is
an ideal centre for all the family, the holiday accommodation
is geared to families as Westward Ho! is a great place for the
children, sand castles to discos! |
| There are many
excellent chalet sites, caravan parks and facilities for those
that are camping. Not forgetting of course several excellent b
& b’s and small family run hotels. |
 |
 |
If you choose
to park the car for the week you will find Westward Ho! has
all you need, an excellent little shopping center and all the
facilities within walking
distance. |
